Sqloledb 1 Tls 1.2. This document provides information about enabling tls 1.2 on the computers that host the enterprise vault server. You can use microsoft ole db driver for sql server (msoledbsql) driver, which features backwards compatibility with sqloledb and can be used as a replacement.
This document applies to enterprise vault 12.4.1 and later. For existing workbooks, you will need to apply the appropriate sql server native client per tls 1.2 support for microsoft sql server and then change the connection properties by replacing sqloledb.1 with sqlncli10 or sqlncli11depending on the version of sql native client you installed. On pcs that have tls 1.0 and 1.1 disabled, a sql connection is not possible to the database server.

Tls1.2 compliant ole db driver for sql server just released. If you attempt to use odbc 11 driver and try a tls 1.2 connection, it should work. Sqloledb is a very old provider and does not support features added in sql 2005 and later.

It has been deprecated & will not be updated to support tls 1.2. If that is the case, then this client driver does not support tls 1.2. It appears that the ole db provider may not be upgraded to support tls 1.2 in the future, so it would be good practice to upgrade any existing maps to odbc as that will continue to be upgraded with tls.
